Long Distance Pregnancy - Series - Pt. 1

Being pregnant is a complete journey. As a first time mom, who was very unsure about having children, you quickly realize that you have a whole life depending on you whether you like it or not. When I found out I was pregnant, I initially had no emotions because I woke up at 3am to take the test just because someone jokingly said maybe I was pregnant. So I went back to sleep after I read the results because I now knew the source of my 1) delayed period and 2) my aches and pains.

My fiance and I have had many pregnancy scares and after like three(3), lol, he just brushed off my delayed periods. I also started to associate them with work and relationship stress. The morning after the results, I asked him what he would think if I was pregnant and that my period really was delayed. Once again, he blew off my worry and that's when I decided that hey, i'm just gonna first, confirm with a doctor and then, plan a reveal.

WELL! If I had any doubts, which I kinda did, the doctor confirmed that he's seeing signs that there may be a gestational sack brewing in the abyss. However, it was a little too early and I should come back in a few weeks to get the final confirmation. Immediately, I started to change my lifestyle to adjust to the possibilities of being pregnant. I went back in the time he told me and confirmed, there was indeed a baby in the hole! ME! BEING PREGNANT! My mother is gonna do back flips on the moon.

You are probably wondering how I'm taking tests and doing doctor's visits without my fiance knowing... Well, let's just say he lives a great distance away from me. Like, in another country. Yes, I'm in a long distance relationship while being pregnant. This journey has been the roughest and hardest thing I have ever done in life. A long distance relationship takes A LOT of work, so imagine being pregnant in that journey.

This blog will document my journeys (though delayed as I'm now 30 weeks pregnant) of the ups and downs of being alone and pregnant.

Stay tuned blog family! Until next post.
